Task: Make a video about yourself. Convince us and everyone watching why you are the best candidate to compete at Impact Apprentice.
Topic: What makes you Canada's Next Impact Apprentice?
Details:
1. Length of Video
The video may be a maximum of 2 minutes in length.
2. Video Upload
After clicking "Enter Now" and logging in, you can submit your video either
a) Directly to Strutta with "Upload a video file"
b) OR "Use one of your YouTube video" from a Youtube account (NOTE: Must upload your video to your account beforehand to use this option)
3. Timeline
• Video submissions start Thursday June 23 and ends July 3 at 11:59 pm EST
• Voting period starts on Friday July 1 and ends Sunday July 17 at 11:59 pm EST

4. Score and Ranking
• The 'score' of your video is calculated based on the rubric on the Requirements Page
• The Top 3 videos with the most votes will automatically move on to the Interview in Round 3
• Best way to success? Get your video in as soon as possible. Then, let everyone and anyone you know about your video, and get them to vote for it - daily!
5. Voting
• 50% of your video's score is based on the total count of votes from the general public
• A single individual can vote once per day
• An individual can use each vote for any video - the same video or various ones

• The Top 3 contestants with the most votes will automatically proceed to the Final round of Application
• The rest of the applicants will be assigned a score out of 100 based on the rubric from below; contestants will be then ranked based upon their scores out of 100
• Please do not feel as though this rubric will restrict your ideas or what you wish to do with your video. It is just to give you a general idea of what we are looking for. Do what you think is the best to convince us and the general public why you are the next Impact Apprentice.
• For any criteria that are rated out of five:
o 1 = the criterion was demonstrated a slight amount
o 5 = the criterion was demonstrated thoroughly
• For any criteria that are rated out of ten
o 1 = the criterion was barely demonstrated
o 5 = the criterion was demonstrated to expectations
o 10 = the criterion was demonstrated both thoroughly and beyond expectations

• Your vote count on your video will be divided by the greatest number of votes for all videos submitted
• This value will be multiplied by 50, and then added to your total score out of 100

• Did the candidate succinctly demonstrate they are innovative and have a fresh, unique perspective? (/10)
• Did the video creatively and effectively convey the candidate’s message to the viewer? (/5)
• These sub-scores will be added together to contribute to your total score out of 100

• Did the candidate exhibit genuine passion (e.g. in their interests) and charisma through their video? (/10)
• How convinced did you feel that the individual is the next Impact Apprentice? (/10)
